ELIZABETHTOWN, KY, April 21, 2009—First Federal Savings Bank received sixth place in the Commonwealth’s 2009 Best Places to Work competition. It is the fourth consecutive year that First Federal has been recognized among the Commonwealth’s top employers, and the second straight year that First Federal received sixth place.
Winners were announced by the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management State Council and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce at an awards dinner Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Lexington Convention Center in downtown Lexington.
The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company's employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey. The program is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence.
First Federal was one of only 55 companies across the Commonwealth to be selected for the honor, one of only 24 selected in the large-sized company category, and the only Hardin County company to make the list in 2009.
