First Federal Named to “Best Places to Work in Kentucky” for Fourth Straight Year

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY, February 02, 2009-First Federal Savings Bank has been recognized among the Commonwealth’s 2009 Best Places to Work for the fourth consecutive year.

Winners were announced by the Kentucky Society for Human Resource Management State Council and the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. The actual rankings will be announced at an awards dinner Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at the Lexington Convention Center in downtown Lexington.

The selection process, managed by Best Companies Group, is based on an assessment of the company's employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey. The program is a multi-year initiative designed to motivate companies in the Commonwealth to focus, measure and move their workplace environments toward excellence.

First Federal was one of only 55 companies across the Commonwealth to be selected for the honor, one of only 24 selected in the large-sized company category, and the only Hardin County company to make the list in 2009.

“On behalf of the 325 dedicated associates and Board Members of First Federal, we are honored to receive this recognition,” commented Keith Johnson, CEO of First Federal. “Our Bank culture instills a family atmosphere promoting teamwork, commitment and excellence. The success of this culture was evident in our record-high associate retention rate during 2008 and is a key component of the world class customer service for which we’re known.”
