Overdraft Protection
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay the item anyway as a courtesy to you.
Standard Overdraft
Standard Overdraft comes with some checking accounts for those who qualify, and the amount of your overdraft balance availability is based on your account activity. We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. See our Retail Pricing Guide for the fees charged for Insufficient Funds and Daily Overdraft Services.
As of July 01, 2010, Federal law does not allow us to authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to:
- ATM transactions
- Everyday debit card transactions
If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

Overdraft Protection Transfers
We also offer overdraft protection between your checking account and your statement savings account. Through this service, you can have funds automatically transferred from your statement savings account to your checking account to cover overdrafts when needed (fees apply). See our Retail Pricing Guide for Overdraft Protection Transfer fees.
